My biggest fear....

On Monday we found out I was 4 weeks pregnant. We are excited but I am so worried that we are going to lose it. This my first time pregnant and have never had a MC before. I am not really feeling pregnant but it is still very early on. I know I should not be worrying about this but I can not get my mind to stop thinking it. Is this anybody else's fear?

I think everyone feels like that, especially in the beginning. There's really no way to take the fear away. I just stayed busy and focused on the positives. I wanted to look back and know that I had enjoyed my pregnancy, not wasted the first months on worrying and negativity.

I think it is every pregnant woman's fear, to be up front with you.

Do what you need to do to make it through emotionally and psychologically. One thing that has helped me not to obsess over the fear of miscarriage is to realize that its beyond me. I have no control over my future. The only thing I have control of is that I love my baby today and I'm going to spend the day enjoying my pregnancy.

I eat well, exercise (or try when I'm not hugging the toilet), and do my best to stay hydrated. Beyond that its all beyond me. I can pray and hope. That's it.

I hope you are able to enjoy your pregnancy today and you don't worry yourself sick. Sending you warm E-hugs. Focus on today!

Having gone through a MC before, I am terrified about it happening again. But, I do my best to just follow the direction of my OB, to eat healthy, and to do everything I am able to ensure that I am being as healthy as possible. That way if, God forbid, anything bad were to happen, I know it wasn't because I did something "wrong". That may sound crazy, but all you can do is control the environment you create for your baby to grow in. The rest is out of your hands.

Try to not stress, and just enjoy being pregnant!

I am fearful of this every day also, and have no history of M/C.. nor any real reason to believe this is not a viable pregnancy. Yet... the fear remains. Just trying to focus on being healthy and staying happy.

Please know you are NOT alone in this fear. I am pretty much holding my breath until I get my second beta drawn tomorrow and level back Friday. Then still holding my breath until I can get to the 12week point at least. It is in the back of my mind too.... you wish it wasnt and you could be 100% over the moon happy but we know there is always that possibility. Good luck wishing everyone happy and healthy pregnancies!

This is definitely my biggest fear also! But we are trying to stay positive and I'm doing everything I'm supposed to, to stay healthy for myself and the baby!

I still feel that way. At first I said I would feel better after the first ultrasound, then after we heard the heartbeat, then at 12 weeks. I am 12 weeks today and still filled with anxiety. I'm hoping after I get my Harmony test results I'll relax, but I'm just not sure. I never felt this way with my two previous pregnancies. I think this time I'm terrified of breaking my kids hearts as much as mine.

i hope you stop worrying soon! (Me too!)

This is my first time being pregnant too and after finding out on Monday that we were expecting I have taken one Hpt and about two opks daily to make sure he's still there.  But my bigger fear more than losing it in the first trimester is losing it in the second or third, when I think I'm safe.

If my pregnancy is the 1 in 5 that don't make it than I just hope God knows well enough I completely couldn't handle a m/c after 12wks.

Best of luck to all of us!!
