Flu shot

Hey everyone! I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but I'm sure those of you who decided to get a flu shot probably had it a few months back. I'm a big chicken and was procrastinating on the shot, but when I became pregnant in November my doctor strongly recommended a flu shot ASAP. I scheduled one for yesterday and even though I m/c I chose to go ahead with the shot in hopes that I can get pregnant again soon. This morning I had a pretty big temp spike. So my question is, for those of you that did get a flu shot, did it affect your temp? I may just be having a totally weird cycle after the m/c, but was curious if maybe it was the vaccine. Thanks for the help!

If you got the live vaccine, I could see how it might affect your temp. I'm sorry about your loss. :(

I get a flu shot every year and I have never had it affect my temp.



TTC #1 since August 2011
September 2012: Start IF testing
DH: SA is good
Me: CD 3 blood work is good, HSG all clear, 7 DPO blood work shows low progesterone
October 2012: Clomid + IUI = BFN
December 2012: Consultation with RE#1. Not impressed with RE#1.
January 2013: Consultation with RE#2
January 2013: CF screening shows that I am a carrier of CF. Thankfully, DH's screening shows that he is not a carrier of CF. Sperm antibody tests are negative for both of us. According to our RE we are Unexplained IF
March 2013: Post coital tests show possible hostile CM. So, maybe not so unexplained?
April 2013: Unmedicated IUI after yet another bad bad PCT. = BFN
Cultures find a bacterial infection that could harm fertility, DH and I both start antibiotics.
May 2013: Clomid + Trigger + IUI

I am so sorry for your loss.

The last time I got the flu shot I felt ill that night and had a slight fever, so I could see that it may affect your temps.

I could defiNitely see it affecting your temps for a day or so.

I got the flu shot and the dtap. I had a temp spike the next day. I was told it was a pretty common response to The vaccines.

I'm sorry about your loss.

 Before I got mine, I'd read many ladies' comments here about a temp spike the day after the flu shot. I got mine last month and sure enough, temp spiked the next day. If you look at my chart, I got the shot on CD7.
