XP: Eviction Date

To quote Samuel L Jackson, "hold on to your butts"...the dr said I am dilated 2-3 cm today and they are inducing at 5:30 am tomorrow due to having insulin controlled GD and a 2 vessel cord. I knew this was coming, and we're really excited, but at the same time I am terrified and freaking out a little!

I'm half fearful, half hopeful that I'll be given an induction date today too -- my GD is diet controlled, but they still probably won't let me go past my due date.

Haha!!  I'm sorry but the Jurassic Park reference made my day.  That's my absolute most favorite movie!! lol :)

Just an idea from someone who has BTDT (induction) ... since your cervix is favorable for induction, I would request that they break your water and allow you to walk, walk, walk to see if that gets things going before they jump straight to Pitocin. Being so close to your EDD and 3cm's dilated, I'd be willing to bet that would be enough to get labor started and then you can have a Pitocin free L&D! Anyhow, best of luck tomorrow!

Thanks! One of my favs to! Did you know they're re-releasing it in 3D in April for the 10th anniversary? We watched it this past weekend, which is why the quote popped into my head.

Thanks! One of my favs to! Did you know they're re-releasing it in 3D in April for the 10th anniversary? We watched it this past weekend, which is why the quote popped into my head.

 

Heck yes!  I'm so excited for it!  My birthday is in April, and my husband mentioned going to go see it to celebrate :)  I'm glad I'm not the only one who's excited lol! :)

I should have added in my OP, do be sure that if they agree this is a good way to start the induction as opposed to going straight to pitocin, they're not going to give you a "time limit" since your water is broke. I'd hate for them to agree to breaking it and then you have a longer than they "expect" labor and pressure you into a c-section using the "risk of infection" scare tactics.... KWIM?

Thanks...good to keep in mind, and as this is my first time doing this, I will take all the advice I can get!! I will talk about it with them in the morning and hopefully they will be helpful and not trying to rush things!
