Husband gift ideas

I am almost done with all of my shopping except for DH. We are just doing stocking stuffers this year with a $50 limit. I have spent $20 already on a pound of Starbucks coffee, a glass pyrex measuring cup (gag gift), and a bag of Reese's trees. I have $30 left to spend and I am at a loss. I had found some cool Texas Longhorns PJ pants at Kohl's online but I didn't order them fast enough and they ran out of his size (and subsequently the style). He has enough sports t-shirts and hats. I could always do gift cards to his favorite lunch places, etc but that just seems to generic. Anyone have any fresh ideas. I am just so uninspired when it comes to him this year.

I usually put a book in his stocking. He's into science and superheroes so the theme the last two years has fit that. I got him the Physics of Superheroes last year and Inventing Iron Man this year.

Books are always good, but if your DH isn't a big reader (mine isn't) another option is movies. We also do giftcards (for actually stores as well as free, at home things like back rubs, get out of chores for free kind of things).

For his stocking I did candy and a Yorkie desk calendar. He loves our Yorkie more than me I think lol! I think I might order a couple of CDs also to fill in some gaps. One of his gifts could work as a stocking stuffer, too. I got him Indiana Jones collection on Bluray. I'm not looking forward to him making me watch it but I knew he'd enjoy it.

books, cds, or dvd/blu-ray will all take space and spend $

My stocking stuffers are usually mostly practical though -- shaving cream, razors, after shave, toenail clippers, stuff he'll use that we can just stock up on.

My dh's birthday is early December so I get two gifts days! Lol

I got him a bluray player it really wasn't that much I think it was 56.00 at BB and the some DVDs of blow Em up movies.

For Xmas I got him a Keurig and K cups yes out of your budget but just ideas

He loves Christopher Moore books and there is a new one so he is getting that as a stocking stuffer. This is the first Xmas/birthday we have had money that didnt go to paying off bills and debt so I went a little nuts lol.
How did God make up dirt?

I did most of my shopping for DH on kohls.com! 30% off plus free shipping and you get kolhs cash back - how can you beat that?!

Here are some things I ordered;

- flannel pajama pants (7 bucks each!)

- nike sneakers (around 30 bucks after discounts maybe?)

- sketcher brown shoes (around 35 bucks)

- briefs (17 bucks for a pack of 3)

- Notre Dame t shirt & hoodie (DH is a huge ND football fan. I actually don't remember how much these were but I think they were a little more pricey)

- Cheap DVD player (ours is at the end of its rope) (25 bucks)

I also got him the new batman movie from amazon prime for 12 bucks. Free shipping and two day delivery!

ETA: I just realized this is a third tri board! I thought I was on the 2nd tri board. Sorry to have butt in a little too early!

Does your husband play any sports?  If so, maybe something that goes along with that.  For example, my husband plays hockey and can always use hockey tape, new skate laces, little things like that.

My DH loves snacking so I bought him some imported olives, nuts, etc.  If your DH likes whiskey you can get him a bottle of something with your remaining $.

Money's a little tighter than usual. I normally buy him something tech related since that's his true love. ;) But this year I bought him a fancy shampoo he loves that he'd never buy for himself and some candies he loves that he would never buy for himself. Books are also a great idea if your hubby likes to read.

Does he happen to have an Amazon wish list? My DH puts everything he could ever want on his. This year he's really pushing for someone to get him the annual subscription to xbox live, or DC's (or is it Marvels?) e-reader so he can have access to their entire library of comic books. Maybe a subscription to Hulu Plus if you're a cord cutter like us (we don't have cable, or any tv really). Or an Amazon gift card, cause really, Amazon does have everything.

Irregardless of his wish list, he's been complaining lately that he needs more boxer-briefs, so I got him a couple of those. His skin dries out like crazy during the winter and he ends up using all of my lotion (and then smells like lavender) so I got him his own lotion (unscented). And he LOVES Cracklin Oat Bran cereal, but it's never on sale and the box is tiny and expensive, so we rarely get it. I got it for him. I think he'll be most excited about that one.

I ordered those for my dad and brother! I would have gotten them for DH as well but he still has a blackberry with buttons so he doesn't really need them for now.

My husband makes his own beef jerky (much to my displeasure) so I loaded him up on all the spicies and sauces he needs. Also a book (granted, a comic book, but a book none the less). Whiskey rocks, a little tumbler glass and a small bottle of whiskey. A $10 gift card to DD so he gets a little break from the home brew. And a letter, it's something we've been doing for 5 years, we write a letter of all out fav memories together throughout the year best part about this is: ITS FREE! haha)

tools, cologne, favorite snacks, little liquor bottles....  You could personalize socks or boxers with fabric paint. I do this for my DH every year with memories from the year on them. Its really fun for both of us to look back on the year that way! GL
