What is the one cleaning act, you know will ensure your home looks/feels spotless?

I love to clean, so it's really hard to pick, but when the floors are all mopped/vacuumed it feels so good.  Second to that is a spotless kitchen and spotless bathrooms.

I really need my kitchen to be spotless at all times. I hate a dirty countertop and dishes everywhere! 

I agree with PP, a clean house feels so good.

Hm, I tend to have a blind eye to dirt but DH thinks if the floors are clean then the house looks clean. So, he washes the tile floors and vacuums almost daily.

I would have to say mopping. We have all hardwood floors that show every single bit of mess. If they are mopped, it means that they are clear from toys as well. I used to mop daily, but lately this only happens about twice a week along with spot cleaning as needed.

Vacuuming always makes me feel cleaner. And of course, getting dishes out of the sink.

Another vote for floor scrubbing here. If I have time for nothing else, that makes my house clean instantly.

Also, taking a Clorox wipe and swiping the stickies off frigdge handles, cupboard knobs, light switches etc. is instant clean to me too.

If I have 20 minutes before someone is going to stop by, I run the vacuum quickly and then clean the toilet and bathroom sink.  So that, to me, is "surface clean".
