Weight!?

What the heck? I am 8 weeks 5 days and weighed myself today; I am up 6 lbs!

This is my third pregnancy and I gained a ton if weight with both my kids. 60 lbs and 45 lbs. Normally, I'm very tall and thin and I work out 4x a week. I don't get why I gain so much weight every time im pregnant LOL. I eat the same, if not less due to feeling sick and I've still been working out, though not as hard and only 3 times a week. It's very perplexing. My doctor isn't concerned and just says some women gain more than others. I'd like to think this is bloat but based on my past experiences, it just keeps going up from here. Lol.

Is anyone else up more than they'd like as far as weight? I'm not sure there's anything I can do as I'm being healthy and I'm certainly not going to diet. I was teslly hoping to stsy within the "normal" range this time. Sigh. Just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat?

I haven't weighed myself since my sad workout on Sunday, but I was up about a pound. I feel huge, though. And since I started around 168 I told my husband that my goal wasn't to get past 190. Whe I weighed at the doctors they weighed me at 173, but I honesty think that scale is a bit heavy compared to the scales at the gym.

Anyway, I think I was eating ice cream the other day and my hubby kindly reminded me I only can gain 17 pounds. Uh, thanks. :(

I'm in that boat!!! I gained 55 with my first and 50 with my second! I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and have already gained 5 lbs.. I'm 5'8 and am naturally thin but I can really pack on the weight during my pregnancies!! I am usually very sick with my pregnancies and really don't eat more than I do pre- pregnancies...

DH sarcastically told me the other day after i stepped off the scale "wow already getting that snow ball rolling!? That a girl go ahead and build up some momentum so you can slide on past your past pregnancy weights!"  Thanks honey. Love ya too!

It's normal. I'm up 5 lbs. you'd be surprises how much is water retention and bloat. Don't worry about it.

I really hope so. I kept waiting, in my last two pregnancies to lose a bit after the bloat when down, but it just didn't happen. LOL. It's just so weird. I am 6'2 and 160 lbs normally and usually don't need to watch what I eat, within reason but it's like my metabolism totally changes the second i get KU. It's hard to see the scale go so high when I pack it on while pregnant. Haha.

Yep. I was only up 3lbs at my last appointment, but that was after several weeks of barely eating. Now that I can actually have FOOD, I imagine I'll gain a bit more quickly.

Plus, I think each boob has gained about a pound already. Yeesh.

I could have written this!  :)   At our doctor's, they let you weigh in by yourself, so it's the honor system.  I told my husband i lied by 2 lbs. So, now i just figure I have to like by 2 lbs everytime so they can track the fluctuation...or maybe if i have a good month, i can put my real weight.  ;)

I started loading up on healthy foods lately and haven't had any cravings for Wendy's or ice cream.  Hopefully that stays.  It also helps I think my energy is back and my m/s is gone.

Quite the opposite is happening to me! This is my first pregnancy...and I am down 6 lbs going on week 9. I think its just my diet, as I am having intense food aversions. The site and thought of food is nauseating. I'm sure I'll gain it all back and then some in second tri!

I just feel bigger. Last time I gained the most in the first tri, credit to overindulging in bagels with extra cream cheese and milk. Hopefully once I start feeling better it will taper off. The exercise I do before pregnancy is pretty hardcore so I've stopped for now and have just been walking. All of this = weight gain :(

I gained quite a bit in the first trimester, mostly because if I wasn't eating I was intensely nauseated, so I ate around the clock. I never threw up though, thank goodness. Everything healthy (kale, spinach, citrus, brown rice, eggs, etc.) all made me gag. Lovely!

I've settled down at what looks like a 10 lb. gained mark @ 11 weeks - it's held steady for 2 weeks. I think most of that was gained between weeks 8-10 when I felt the worst. I'm normally a really healthy eater (vegetarian, low sugar) so I think now that I'm not so sick I'll be back to my normal eating habits and feel much better. I'm hoping to keep my weight down going forward and stick to the 1/2 lb a week.
