I vagely remember seeing posts that ikea cribs are differant sizes than a regular crib and that you need to get the ikea specific matress and sheets?
However ...
I'm looking at the SNIGLAR crib for an inexpensive crib for grand-ma's ($70). Ikea's website says "For your child's safety, use a 27 1/2 x 52" crib mattress with our cribs." I did a very quick search on BRU and Amazon and it looks like the standard size crib matresses ARE 52 x 27.5 inches.
So, why have i hear people say you HAD to use ikeas matresses???
Honestly, their is a Safety First Matress for $53 on Amazon and BRU that is 5'' thick. Compaired to the ikea matresses that are only 2-3 inches thick for the same price or more.
