what cold medicine would you take?

I'm in the 2WW and I have a horrible cold and a fever. I've been taking tylenol for the fever but I'm miserable. Would you take tylenol cold? Or should I just deal and not take anything. WWYD?

I would definitely take some Tylenol cold. I think they say you should avoid ibuprofen if you want to be cautious. As of this moment you're not pregnant, so no sense in suffering!

I think the general rule is Tylenol products during the 2WW. I take meds when I'm sick whether I'm in the 2WW or not. I'm not gonna suffer, especially if I'm not pregnant.

Diagnosis: MFI (low count), IVF recommended
Treatment: Anastrozole to increase testosterone
05/2011: 50 mg Clomid + IUI cancelled because there were 4 mature follies
06/2011: 25 mg Clomid + IUI → BFP at 10 dpo
02/2012: Baby boy born!

According to my OB, Tylenol Cold is fine throughout pregnancy. I'd take it.

i don't see how Tylenol cold could interfere with implantation or post fertilization cell division. There are a few obgyns that post lists of "safe" medications, though I think most apply to pregnancy and not 2WW. You can always call your obgyn if you're concerned, but if the drug isn't a category c I wouldn't worry too much during 2WW. 

Do you mind my asking where in NY you live?  We moved from NYC to lower westchester a few years ago and love it here. I've visited the bump Hudson valley and NYC boards, but they're dead!

I'm more worried about the fever/sickness killing my chances of a BFP than the meds!

 I'm in Rockland County.  I think the Hudson Valley Nest board is popular. I don't go on there but I knew a few ladies who do. I'm going to page you now :)
