When does it sink in?

Hi all!  I'm new to the bump (although I was a frequent poster on the knot a few years back), and I'm 5w1d into my pregnancy.  Got the BFP about a week and a half ago and my first appt is on January 3, but it really hasn't sunk in that I'm going to be a mom.

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited for this next chapter in our lives, but I'm just curious, how long did it take for it to sink in for you or at what point did it hit you that you were going to be a mom (if it has hit already)?

I'll be 12 weeks tomorrow and sometimes it still doesn't feel real....

Perhaps when you feel the baby move for the first time or he/she gets hiccups its DDARLING. Idk it will come with time, for some it takes longer than others.

I think it sunk in for me with DD when I felt lots of movement around 18-19 weeks. Sometimes I am still shocked that we are parents!

Thanks - I figured that was likely the answer, but always good to ask (can't ask people IRL yet, since no one knows).

I thought it had sunk in, but after I gave birth to my first child, my husband and I were like "they're going to let us bring her home?!?"  I think it's a roller coaster of acceptance, denial, etc. lol....fun, fun, in addition to the "bag of toys" hormonal ride!

A 10w6d I still dont feel like I'm pregnant. I guess it's different for everyone, I'm not sure.
