For my son (Connor), I like his name a lot more. It wasn't on my short list really but my DH **loved** it. And he rarely feels strongly about baby names. That, paired with the fact that I didn't dislike it and had basically gotten to name my DD exactly what I wanted caused me to really give in. At first I was luke warm, but now that it is "him" I just adore it. It fits and my association is obviously positive since I love my kid ;).
For my daughter (Katherine nn Kate) I like it the same. I would say "more" except for the fact that the name Kate has been super popular in my social circle and it starts to feel a little overdone/tired. I have no regrets as I think it is a wonderful, classy, beautiful name. I just wish she wasn't "Kate Q" everywhere.
