DH scared me..

SO FREAKING BAD!!!!!! I'm still shaking!

He just left for work and I hear a little banging noise on the front porch. I peak out the blinds and see its windy and I figure the noise was a Christmas decoration I hung up that tends to bang around in the wind. No biggie.

So I go about making my toast and the door knob starts to jiggle and turn. WTF! (now I'm almost crapping myself) It keeps jiggling and then a knock. I don't hear DH's truck out front (it's a diesel so its kinda loud) I start saying "TODD!? TODD??" 1. because if it's him he will answer and 2. If it's not him I hope the killer trying to get in thinks Todd is home and I'm yelling for him. Finally I hear "yea" and again I peak out the blinds.. No truck. WTF. Then DH pops his fat head in front of the window and waves. Finally, I open the door.

Appearantly the noise I heard on the front porch was the extension cord being ripped out of the socket and probably hitting my car as DH took off down the street with his truck STILL PLUGGED IN!!!!!

Such a dingdong. This is like the 3rd or 4th time he has done this except this time he drug the cord all the way down the street!

Oh no!  I hate that feeling just after you've been scared half to death and then realize it was nothing.  I hope your nerves calm down soon!

I would have peed my pants!! And then been freaked out the rest of the day. I hate being scared though.

I don't know why but it alwasy scares me when someone knocks on the door even in the middle of the day!  

And I always freak myself out when DH leaves too. I think I hear things or I start thinking about the "what ifs." What if someone tried to break in and kills us?

If I shower during the day I usually make sure the kids are upstairs with me because I have this irrational fear that while I'm in the shower someone will sneak in and kidnap them.

I'm such a weirdo.

I must be a weirdo too then because I think all the same things.

I want to move because L's room is right by the stairs and the master isn't. If someone broke in he'd be the 1st one they got to. Freaks me out every night. We are planning a house remodel for the future to add another room by the stairs then give L our old room to alleviate this problem. I'm definitely a freak!

He said "you need to remind me to unplug it."

ummm.. So YOU want ME to remind you to plug it in and unplug it?

 I'm thinking today I make a big sign to stick on the garage door that says "TODD, Plug & Unplug truck. You're welcome. Love, The Wife"

Maybe it will embarrass him enough to have all the neighbors see it he will remember on his own.
