Definitely boy, but that spelling is awful. DH is Shane so I would never see it as a girl name.

Although I did know a Shane that was a girl, then again I also knew a girl named Michael and another girl named Ryan, so maybe I just had friends with strange parents.

Shane is all boy.  But Shayne make me think of Shayne Llamas so I go girl spelled that way.  Although I think it's a terrible name for a girl.
