Well, I have struck out on the first few adoption attorney's that I have called. I have an appointment today with one who seems very down to earth & not senile...
It's just an initial consultation, but I am excited to get the ball rolling at least!

We are officially starting the process to adopt our newborn expected to arrive in early June! Putting the pen to the paper today made it feel real. He told us to expect to hear from him in 30-45 days when he gets the official word back from the Indian tribes to let us know if we are ok to proceed with their blessing.
After meeting with the attorney, I called our birth mom & ended up hanging out with her for a few hours this afternoon. It was awesome & I can't help but feel excited. Since her family isn't speaking to her very much, I invited her to our house for Christmas & she accepted the invitation! It has been such an awesome day, full of adoption highs & I am on cloud nine right now. Thank you so much for your T & P's!
