Just wanted to update about DD. She was born about 3.5 weeks ago at 36 weeks.
She came right home, but has struggled with weight gain and temperature regulation. She still is struggling with both. This AM at the pedi, she had only gained 2 oz in 6 days; they like to see 1/2 oz per day, or 3 oz over a 6 day period. Also, her temp remained low. Because this has been going on so long, they are calling in a neonatologist (sp?) for a consult. They even mentioned the option of rehospitalizing so she can be in a warm isolette with a feeding tube, although they think that's very unlikely.
I'm a little worried, but not extremely -- it still seems like this is all temporary and she'll grow out of it as she gets bigger and weighs more. Still, it would have been nice to have a better check-up this AM.
