elevating the mattress

My 14 week old son will sleep in his swing when it's not moving but not on his flat mattress so I am thing about elevating his mattress but don't know how to do it safely. How do you do it. TIA

We elevated her crib and PNP due to reflux by putting books under the feet on one end.  Our ped said this was the safest way to do it.

We put a rolled up towel under one end of the mattress under direction of our pedi.

With DD I put a throw pillow under one end of the mattress. Whatever you do just make sure there is no open space between mattress and crib sides ;)

Our pedi told us to elevate the whole crib so there's no chance of a gap b/t the crib and mattress. We had an issue with the babies sliding down so we rolled a receiving blanket into a U shape and put it under the crib sheet to support their bottoms (sort of like they're sitting in a swing). They stay firmly in place now!

I just wanted you to know you're in good company! My 13 week  old refuses to sleep on his back, but loves his unmoving swing at night.

Once the holidays are over I think I'll try the crib transition. My oldest loved his crib, so I don't understand what my youngest has against it :'p
