What is your favourite part about the holidays now that you have grown up?

Seeing family

What are some of your family traditions that you do for the holidays?

I'm polish so on Christmas eve my mom always made a traditional polish dinner.  I always make it when we're not with my family for Christmas.  There's a lot of things I'd like to incorporate into our holiday now but DH's family sucks

Is there anything that you hate about the holidays?

The time it takes to get everything ready for it to be over in 1 day.  Such a pain in the ass.

What is your favourite holiday memory from when you were a child? My family used to open presents at midnight due to my dad's job. My parents would kick us out around 8pm so that "Santa" could come [when this tradition started, we already knew Santa didn't really exist], and my sister and I would hang out in one of our rooms. We would eat junk food, listen to music, play board games and chill. We still do that, and we're both in our mid 20s.

What is your favourite part about the holidays now that you have grown up? I love celebrating it with DS. It's so fun to watch him open presents and help decorate the tree. I don't think he believes in Santa [even at 4 years old, he just doesn't like Santa], but the spirit of Christmas is definitely carried on through him. I love it.

What are some of your family traditions that you do for the holidays? We always eat a big Christmas dinner and spend hours opening presents and playing around. My sister and I also conspire to get the family dogs the most annoying toys ever - they either have to make noise or leave a big mess. My mom hates when we give the dogs toys because they make a mess, so it's fine to get her riled up a bit. :)

Is there anything that you hate about the holidays? How commercialized it's become. I hate seeing Christmas commercials before Halloween, getting all these stupid emails about sales, dealing with the crowds and rude people. Online shopping all the way!

Seeing all the kids get so excited! And of course Christmas dinner. :)

Christmas Eve my parents always have a big open house party. I look forward to this more than Christmas Day!

Is there anything that you hate about the holidays? 

Traveling. Tho I'm pretty lucky and don't have far to go, but it is frustrating trying to please everyone by having to go from place to place.

Oh, I don't speak a lick of it so you could have left it the first way and I would have been none the wiser.  I figured that's what it said though.  Really could have used your help a few weeks ago.  I bought some soup mixes at a polish deli in chicago and the directions for how to cook it were all in Polish.  I had to wing it.
