I lurk there and post occasionally particularly when people have questions about school-aged kids. Much of the regulars there now have been posting since the Tri Boards together and have kids that are 2+ now. They moved to Parenting because it was dead at the time so they didn't have to keep migrating up the age boards.
But just because they're talking about some weird stuff on there doesn't mean their kids are going to turn out all messed up. I'm sure if people had stayed here instead of going to Facebook then this board would have a lot more off topic posts and more drama/debates. As your kid gets older, you get into more of a groove and since they don't change as quickly as they do the first year, you have less questions. A lot are on their 2nd/3rd/etc, kid, so it's not their first rodeo. Some of these ladies have been posting on The Bump daily for a few years now - they have their own community and it would be boring to talk about their kids all day long. :) I think a lot are friends on Facebook, too, but they still like to posts on the board and interact with people that aren't in their FB groups.
