Missed DD first walking steps

Mobile Users: Missed DD first walking steps.

I am happy and sad at the same time. DD has been taking a step here and there, but today she took four and then five consecutive moving steps. I am kind of bummed. I am a working mom and I know I will miss milestones, but this one is a big one! I know it is kind of stupid... but I almost feel like crying.

Technically her steps here and there were walking steps. I know it's hard

I totally understand. I missed one of my daughter's first crawl and I felt guilty about it forever. It took me awhile, but I got over it in time. Congrats on your daughter walking! It's so exciting when they walk all over the place :)

It is still amazing when you see her walk. Your first time seeing them are just as amazing.

I missed C's first long consecutive steps when I was at school but it made me happy that he did it for DH and he got it on video. Those little one or two steps count as her first so cherish those memories.

And there will only be the first time she runs up to you to give you a hug. That's pretty amazing. Hugs!

You can miss milestones when you SAH too. I missed out on my second child's first steps when I was at the grocery store and DH was watching her. Unless you literally never leave your child's side (which is unhealthy for you and LO) you run the risk of missing something.

It's equally as important and memorable the first time you witness LO do something. Don't feel too bad.

Oh! I understand your mixed emotions. I can't until you get to see it, it will be amazing. And then it will be trouble :)
