11wk old putting hand in her mouth?

LO is 11wks old and she just recently started stuffing her hand in her mouth. is that normal? at first i thought she was just still hungry (she eats 4-5oz every 4-5 hours), so i would try to give her more but she doesn't want it. i just want to know why she's starting to stick her hands in her mouth lol.

My little one is 11wks too. She has been putting her hand in her month for a few weeks now, yesterday I found her sucking her thumb.  Could mean she is still hungry, but most likely she is just discovering her hands!

It's normal and a wonderful thing.  She is learning how to soothe herself.  Babies generally "find" their hands at this point and are gaining more hand/eye coordination.

DS is 6 weeks and has been doing this for a bit. I think he is soothing and/or checking out his hands. I see him do it when I put him down at night and he does it when hanging out in his bouncy just looking around.

DD just started this too. She's already started sucking on her thumb here and there too. She refuses to take the pacifier. DS was the same way and he's a thumb sucker so I am hoping to avoid that.

Yep totally normal for this stage.  She's learning how to control her hands.  DS has been doing it for a couple weeks.

Mine is doing that too. It's to practice putting things in their mouths for when they are teething so it's totally normal. It's also nice because my LO prefers to do this rather than use a pacifier so they can use it to self soothe too. It also helps them to work on hand coordination, so it's a good thing and totally normal!
