CD 3 appointment with RE

So I took my last provera last Friday and my period FINALLY showed (never thought I'd WANT a period!) so called this morning and scheduled my CD 3 blood work and my "internal" ultrasound. HSG a week later on CD 11. 

My irrational fear?  Having the internal ultrasound while I'm still bleeding.  I understand these people are health professionals and used to it but still kind of weirded out by the idea.  

Feeling anxious but a so excited to get this all done!  Are ya'll ready for all my random questions?!

Good luck with your appointment and testing!!! And I totally get what you mean about having the vag cam while bleeding - no fun!! But yes, they're used to it! Bring on the questions!! :)

It is awkward, but they are used to it! I was still bleeding for my first monitoring appointment for IVF #1.

Best of luck at your appt! I totally understand about the bleeding during appt. I was grossed out by that. I actually threw my own paper they put down for each person to sit away so they would not see it. lol. They are prof. though, they see it all.

The more I got into this process the less I cared about things like bleeding with an u/s. They don't care...they really don't. I think the doctors, nurses and techs have seen it all at this point. GL

Once you have your daily vag cam sessions, you'll laugh at yourself for even fretting this.  I [was] a severely modest person and now I'll strip from the waist down without blinking an eye in the REs office.  Modesty disappears with IF.

Totally agree with PP... I'm at the end of 2nd week of lupron, staring stims soon, and i had u/s with AF today... wasn't as bad as I thought.

I am a nurse and know the not so pleasant things I've had to clean up from people and blood not being even in the top 5 so deep down I do know it's not a big deal just my over-thinkin' brain!

Thanks for the support already and so excited that I get to look forward to daily vag cam sessions.  Santa Claus came early!

Jan 18, 2013:Retrieved 12 eggs!

I was terrified of this too! I thought I psyched myself into it, and thought I was prepared for anything. Until the tech didn't even leave the room for me to get undressed/dressed. I could deal with the bleeding on the table, but changing a pad in front of her was another story... At least I didn't wear a tampon that day?
My Ovulation Chart
TTC with MFI and poor ovulation since 03/11
TCM and progesterone supplements
Early loss in 08/11
MFI Dx in 03/12 Low count, low motility, poor morphology and high levels of anti-sperm antibodies
Treated with supplements and TCM. Much lower on all factors. Count too low to test for anti-bodies
Met with new urologist 11/12
IUI #1 12/12: Letrozole + Gonal-F = BFN
DH started Clomid 01/13
New SA shows 33 million sperm! Thank you Clomid!!!
Discovered I am hypothyroid 04/13 waiting for specialist appointment
Hoping to try IUI again in July?
