when did you find out?

Hi, ladies. I will be joining this board in one week and have heard some stories of ladies getting a pretty good idea of the sex at their NT scan. I'm wondering how far along you were when you found out and if you did get a guess on your NT, was it later confirmed during anatomy scan? Thanks!!

My baby's legs were crossed at the NT scan. The tech guessed girl but told us don't put much into it and don't go buying anything pink. However at 16 and 20 weeks it was confirmed we are having a little girl.

I did not have an NT scan, so no early guesses for us, we probably wouldn't have gotten a guess anyway, but we found out at the anatomy scan at 19w.

I found out at about 15w5d, confirmed at 20 weeks, and then again at 23w5d... my little man loves showing his junk.. ;o)

At our 19w anatomy scan.  With both pregnancies, we were told at the NT scan that they wont even wager a guess.

at my NT scan the tech told us 85-90% sure it was a girl but don't go changing my FB status or anything. Then at 17 weeks I had to get an u/s b/c of spotting and they confirmed 100% that it is a girl. Good luck!

We found out both last time and this time at 14 weeks and a couple days, both confirmed at the a/s.

Ah! Thanks everyone for the responses. I just can't wrap my head around the fact that I MAYknow soon. I am almost nervous about it. My NT scan is on the 31st and I will be 13w3d and I am hoping they will venture a guess. How could would that be on New Year's Eve??

At my NT scan the tech said it would only be a guess, so she wouldn't tell me.  I thought it looked like a boy (in all my experience and expertise... lol), and it actually is a boy which I found out at 20 weeks.

With DS I found out about 15 weeks due to complications.

With #2 we'll find out about 21 weeks.

With DD we found out at 17 weeks, but this LO will be on the 9th at 16 weeks.

I did not find out at my NT scan, he us tech said they are not allowed to guess that early because there could be so much error. I found out at 17w5d that we are having a little girl and have my a/s Jan 2, so just past 20 weeks and hopefully they are still saying girl!

Our u/s tech would not guess at the NT scan.  We went for an elective u/s at exactly 15 weeks and they guessed boy pretty confidently.  It was confirmed at 21 weeks at our a/s where there was no mistaking our little guy's parts.  I'd wait until at least 15 weeks because the angle of the dangle theory around 11-13 weeks is just a theory and unless your have a tech who know exactly what they're looking for, it's very easy to mistake the parts that early on.

I was told "80% sure it's a boy" at 12wks 6days during my NT Scan.  That was confirmed at 20 weeks during my anatomy scan and a few days later at an elective ultrasound.

I was 18w3d when we found out.  I had my NT scan at 12w6d and my sonographer wouldn't even guess because she said boy/girl parts look very similar at that stage.  I'm glad we waited until 18w3d because I wouldn't want to hear one thing, and then 6 weeks later have it be the other.

And it was quite obvious at 18w3d we are team blue :)

The U/S tech would not make a guess or even look at "that area" during our NT scan. We found out at the A/S at 18w5d.

I didn't have an NT scan.  My u/s was at 16 weeks.  Not sure why, but I didn't complain.  She was able to tell it was a girl right away.  The did all the measurements then, so sadly, I don't have another at 20 weeks

With DS, we could easily tell at 13 weeks.  With these two, we just found out today.  They just refused to cooperate with the u/s techs.

I had the the NT Scan but the tech didn't make a guess. I would not have wanted her to. We did an elective at 16w4d and found out we were having a girl.

Had an elective at 17 weeks. They wouldn't even speculate at the N/T scan, and I wouldn't have wanted them to. I wanted them to be pretty close to positive before they told us anything!

I found out at the anatomy scan between 19-21 weeks for all three pregnancies. I've never had an NT scan, so no confirmation there.
