Prenatal Tests - which ones to get or skip?

First timer here, my OB wants to see me at 10 weeks right after my RE passes my case over to him. OB says he wants to do some tests.

I was reading up on the prenatal tests. Here is the APA link for reference http://www.americanpregnancy.org/prenataltesting/

Some tests carry the risk of miscarriage. I have a loss history (2 MC, 1 Ectopic) so they are freaking me out. Most of them seem to just provide an early indication and there is little doctors can do with it.

Which tests are you going for/skipping and why ?

TIA.

Invasive tests are usually done as follow up to non-invasive tests. The "basics" are just blood work and urine tests.

I'm doing the quad screen (blood test) and NT scan, both of which have zero risk and provide information. Most people don't do CVS or amniocentesis unless they have an indication that something might be wrong and they want more information.

This exactly.  Very well informed.

We aren't doing any prenatal tests. My doctor advised that if we know we won't do the invasive tests, it's better not to do any, because we would just be worried with a positive result.

THIS. also our doctor told us the initial tests come back with a lot of false positives, so if you're worried about doing the invasive ones better to just not bother with the initial ones since they might not even be accurate!
