Emerald27:Welcome, and good luck!
My chart makes very little sense, but you're welcome to take a look! I'm also breastfeeding my 14 month old, but I nurse quite a bit more than you do at this point. DS nurses to sleep for naps and bedtime, and he frequently comfort nurses. I have not had a PP period yet and still haven't ovulated, from what I can tell.
FX for good test results for your DH!
I love that siggy pic you have about rocking your baby! I think about it sometimes when I rock DS to sleep and I start feeling like I am "spoiling" him or something.
Looks like no O yet. Are you thinking of weaning a feeding or two to help TTC? I am sad that I have to wean to get my period back, but I'm okay with having the extra time in the morning and not having to pump at work anymore. Yay! But I am going to try to keep the bedtime nursing session for a little while.
The thought has entered my mind to lengthen the time between feedings, but we are really in no hurry to TTC. We were thinking of starting in March. If I still haven't ovulated then, I may try to partially night wean.
I really love our breastfeeding relationship and plan to let DS wean himself when he is ready. I had some scary medical stuff recently and opted for a somewhat risky surgery over a less invasive treatment that required weaning. I have a scar across my neck that reminds me just how important it is to me that I can breastfeed DS. It's a personal decision, but for me, letting DS nurse has been a significant gift and sacrifice for him. He gets it as long as he wants it!
ETA: you might want to try giving up pumping at work before weaning and see if that's enough to cause you to ovulate.
