Nesting Fever!! ( small vent)

We are in the process of moving, unfortunately not where we planned (the owners decided to say in their home so we are looking for another apartment instead of buying/ for nowL) it’s a headache looking and I’m trying not to stress. We’ve already given our current place our move out letter we have less than 1 month to find a place.

I’m starting to get nesting fever I want to wash her cloths but I decided to wait until after we move. I haven’t purchase any large ticket items because I don’t have a neat and/or safe place to store them. Since, I’m waiting to do everything else I decided to make my shopping list for the move and when baby arrives. My DH is great but with a shopping list he may come back with 3 items and swears he looked for everything else.

Has anyone started to nest?

I haven't started nesting yet. DH works construction though so now that he is on seasonal layoff we will start painting the nursery and pulling the carpeting up. We also have a few small renovations to the house that we are going to do before the baby comes but haven't started any yet although now you have me thinking I better get going!

I am in total nesting mode. And to top it off, we have been SO SLOW at work and sitting here doing nothing and knowing I can be home getting stuff cleaned out is KILLING ME! We haven't done a thing yet. I haven't even bought anything! I just figured I would wait until after the Holidays are over so I can focus strictly on getting our little girls room ready and get everything she needs. My husband is also construction (electrician) and his company works primarily outside. So being that we live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and get all the rain we get here, he has been having a lot of days off. So luckily he still be starting our projects (getting the baby room cleaned out, painted and remodeling our bathroom). Here's to hoping its all done in the next couple months!!! Good luck to everyone!

I wish I was nesting. I've tried to force myself to do it, but it just isn't happening yet. It's sort of worrying.

I've been going crazy wanting to start the nursery and start getting stuff for baby, I"ve been buying little by little. My main biggie is getting hubby to take down all the home theatre stuff out of the nursery and getting rid of the tv and all those cords!! and boy is he dragging his feet (bonus room is turning into nursery) and then to start painting! Everyone keeps telling me to wait until the holidays are over and it will all come together so I'm trying to focus on that....

Your still early yet! Soon it will hit you! Dont force it comes naturally. Ive also been told that when you start nesting baby is preparing you for its arrival.

I sure hope I start nesting at 26 weeks.  I can power through things when I need them done like DS's birthday and Christmas but then I need tons of recovery time. The fact that I am on my 4th sickness this pregnancy isn't helping. I was a nesting machine the last 8 weeks or so with DS.

I'm right there with ya.

I'm 24 weeks and we are moving cross-country near the end of the month...with a pukey cat, for a 30 hour car drive...with three people.

It is going to suck royally :-(

And I've been getting serious nesting fever, too, but when you're trying to downsize, buying stuff has to wait til ur settled...so I keep just dreaming and planning and wishing and waiting. It's killin me! :-P
