Lo will not nurse anymore....

Also posted on bf board

So I have posted recently about lo not eating as well, he's gotten into that very distracted stage. Well now at 6 mos he literally won't nurse! About a week now it's like bottles are all he wants! Now it's even more horrible to say but he's even a happier baby when he gets them he has had to get both formula and pumped milk for a couple weeks now. I pump at work and when he is at daycare he gets a couple bottles of each but now I have had to give him some myself bc he won't nurse. The only time in the last 2 days he will even consider it without screaming is at 34am. Now I'm not quite sure how to continue...I had my goal set for 6 mos for sure however I didn't see it coming to such a quick halt but it's like his whole attitude about it changed and he's not interested....and i will add again he is such a happy baby when he gets bottles. what are your thoughts?! Anyone else?

Oh and yes I have tried the whole quiet dark room, white noise, things for him to hold, etc he's just not into it

Both of my kids went through nursing strikes around 6 months. I just kept offering, didn't get upset, and pumped a lot. Both lasted about a week, then they were back to nursing.

"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies. God damn it, you've got to be kind." - Kurt Vonnegut

I became an EP'er with my first two for the same reasons.  I pumped until they were 1.
