At my wits end with maybe yeast rash. What else can I do?

So I've been battling the yeast monster for a few months now.  We've gone in and out of cloth several times, I keep thinking its gone, and then after a week in cloth its back.

This most recent time I started cloth again, while putting her in disposables for the twice a day I was still using the nystatin. I was also washing all my diapers with bleach, TTO, and GSE.

Yesterday I noticed a little redness in some fat folds at the top of her thighs.  I used diaper cream on it and put nystatin on overnight and now today it is a pimply rash.

Now a couple questions.

1) Can a pimply rash be anything other than yeast?

2) If this is yeast, WHAT else can I do? And buying a new stash is just not an option (which is what my pedi recommended. haha).

It can also look a lot like a ph imbalance, what is your wash routine? I battled this constantly in the past with my bigs until I started with baking soda in prewash and vinegar in the final rinse. Fixed everything immediately.

Have you tried coconut oil on her?

I could have written this post about a month ago. We use it every change and it seems to keep everything at bay (CD safe). I also still use a small amount of TTO and GSE when I wash.

hmm.  Before the start of her rashes I had a pretty simply routine going for several months.  I actually didnt do a prewash, I did an hour or two soak in hot water w/ Tide, wash, rinse, rinse.

Lately I've been adding bleach, TTO and GSE all to the wash cycle with the Tide, and adding a couple extra rinses because they still smell so strongly of either TTO or bleach.

Oh, and btw, I also am in the process of stripping today because I've been getting a few leaks lately.

I do use coconut oil.  In fact, I made some "special butt mix" by melting a few tablespoons of coconut oil and adding in a few drops each of TTO and GSE.  I also use cloth wipes and make my own butt wash with each of the above as well.

We've had mystery blisters off and on for a few weeks now. I thought it was a sensitivity to Charlie's Soap, so I switched to RNG. It cleared for a day or two, and then he started getting the blisters again. The "guru" at RNG thinks I still have a lot of detergent residue in my CDs so I soaked them in the bathtub last night and am slowly getting them all rewashed. Every time I start to make a dr's appointment, the spots seem to be getting better. Then they're not. I don't have any advice, but I definitely feel for you!

The last time we had a really stubborn yeast rash I washed everything with the bleach/tto/gfse and then stripped with RLR. I read once that detergent/mineral build up in your diapers can hold onto the yeast. I found that helped kick it.

Also, have you bleached out the container that holds your cloth wipes if you store them pre-moistened?

I have bleached EVERYTHING. I store my wipes dry, and I actually just started cloth wipes about a month ago anyway. I bleached the buckets that I toss dirtys in. I've washed her towels and changing pad covers in TTO and GSE. I didn't bleach those because they are colored. The wipes get washed wipe the diapers. She gets naked time and then I wash the piddle pad things with TTO and GSE. I honestly cannot think where she could be getting reinfected from.

I am stripping right now and I will do some TTO and GSE after a few more rinse cycles. But damn. This is getting old.

I could have written this post when my lo was this age. We were back and forth. We definitely had yeast and found doing probiotics helped. We use kids culturelle but Im sure they are all the same. I had tried everything with my wash routine as well but in the end it was my kid not that yeast was still in the diapers. If it is yeast and to me it sounds like you have tried everything else- perhaps try probiotics.
