I don't think that's supposed to happen

Yesterday my girls had their 18 month check-up with their doctor and got their 18 month vaccines for DTap and Hep A. I know the common side effects say drowsiness, fussiness, fever for DTap and Hep A. Well, I was expecting those side effects and instead I had two crazy children who refused to go to sleep last night and instead wanted to stay up and laugh and talk. I got maybe two hours of sleep last night trying to herd them to bed. I don't think I've been this tired since they were newborns. I'm crossing my fingers that tonight the drowsiness has set in and they'll sleep like champs, or that my husband can take toddler wrangling duty :)

 My favorite part though was when my husband looked at me and says, "did it say hyperactivity is a side effect?". Poor guy, he really wanted someone to blame for their craziness.

My niece has the opposite side effects from things like that.  My sister made the mistake of giving her nighttime medicine exactly one time!  If it even mentions drowsiness as a side effect, they don't chance it!  I know you don't have a choice with vaccines, so good luck!  I hope you get some sleep soon!
