work is making me crazy

It's bad enough that I don't like my job and my boss is a nightmare. It's a very stressful job. I am on restricted duty so there are things I cannot do, which has probably made my coworkers work loads a bit heavier, but I am picking up extra things in the office that they would normally have to do. a few of them have no children. one of them has actually complained about how it's "unfair" that pregnant people get to take a leave and that people with kids take so much time off. so obviously she is not a fan of me right now. They are making going to work absolutely awful. they are either completely ignoring me, talking about when i'm still in the room, or being nasty to me. I pretty much just ignore but have had "arguments" which i never start. I have now been screamed at (literally) by two separate coworkers in front of everyone. normally this is probably something you would go to your boss with but she is just as awful and favors them - she created them! i know they are stressed because it's so insane right now and we are really short staffed (not just because of me), but this is absurd. i shouldnt be treated this way - and the funny thing is that i have been there longer than the two worst ones combined!

the other day i heard the one who hates pregnant women/women with kids saying that i dont do my job and i sit around doing nothing all day (not true). for the record - its gov't, so there is no HR - i have already complained to admin about my boss last year and it just made things worse - they love drama so they feed on stuff like this. i just dont know what to do.

i'm off this upcoming week (yay seniority) and here i am on saturday night thinking about work and what i have to go back to next week and what they will say about me while i'm gone - to eachother and to my boss.

i know i shouldnt let them bother me - but i always had a good reputation and got along well with my coworkers - then i moved to this dept a year ago and got a new boss and it feels like my years of hard work have been ruined by these people.

(also, i was on restricted duty during my last pregnancy and did not have this issues with my previous coworkers).

any advice? because short of going out early i just dont know what to do. spending weekends/evenings/day off stressing about it is not good.

Sorry to hear about this piglet, I am going through something similar. It's miserable. :( The only advice I can offer you aside from trying to keep your mind busy so you don't think about it (that's what I am doing as much as possible), is to start looking for a new job. I know it's extreme, but if it's going to continue to be this way or get worse..maybe it's time to leave if you find something better.

Are you active duty?

Regardless, you should talk to your boss and if your boss isn't responsive, then talk to their boss.

Worst case, you can file a report with the IG.
