Charlie's Soap - Disinfectant?

Hi Ladies,

I was hoping to see what y'all use as your disinfectant with Charlie's Soap (i.e. what product and corresponding quantity)...

I have a front-loading he washer, and purchased GMD prefolds along with Thirsties Duo covers to get started with my first venture into CD'ing once my twins arrive.

I'll be doing fairly large loads considering I'll have double diaper duty - if that matters.

Below is a link to their website for washing diapers and mentions the disinfectant:

I really don't understand this.  My detergent isn't a disinfectant.  My hot water might be tho....

No detergent has a disinfectant in it.

If you're worried about your diapers though, just add 1/4 a cup of bleach to the load about once a month and you're golden.

This. And you might have better luck washing every day and having buffer room to take a day to process, or the loads often get too big. Now that they're pooping a lot less, I could techically wash every day and a half, but it's just easier to have a system to throw them in the wash every night and I never forget that way! :)

LottaLattes, I just had to say that your copy/paste picture cracks me up EVERY time I see it! Your twins are so cute!

I haven't used a disinfectant yet, but I will probably use bleach. I need to do a little more research on this first. I think (but am totally not sure) that Tea Tree Oil can be used. I know it is supposed to kill mold in other applications. There are some other ladies on here who use TTO all the time and would have much better knowledge of it than I.
