Please settle a debate for me

First time parents here having a debate in our house. We received a wipe warmer as a gift. My husband got it all set up and put the wipes in it... but left them inside the original packaging they came in. I think they need to come out of the packaging before going into the warmer. He says I'm wrong. Who is right here?

From the prince lion heart instructions...

"Remove wipes from original packaging, lift the lid and drop in a stack of baby wipes (approximately 80-100 or enough to allow the lid to completely close). Allow three hours to reach full temperature."

What do the instructions say? That's typically my course of action...

This. Directions are usually helpful. I'd assume you take them out.

It's for warming wipes, not warming the wipe packaging.  So yes, you take them out.

Take the wipes out, and return and exchange the gift for something useful.

ditto, and not to be rude, but if you guys are not generally ones to read instructions, please have someone else  set up your crib, swing, bouncer etc, and install the car seat.  Really, I am not trying to be mean, but there are often tiny details that are important that are in the directions.

Thanks everyone. We are not idiots, we did read the instructions but they were very vague and didn't specify one way or the other hence why we were having the debate in the first place.

If you don't know, don't answer!  Your response was pointless and annoying.

Wow. It's a freaking wipe warmer. Somehow I think reading the instructions for it is MUCH different than those for a crib or car seat. I realize you we're not trying to be rude, but often when statements are made with that as the intro, they in fact are rude.

My mom always had one, and she put the wipes straight into the warmer, no packaging. I also have one and think they are awesome, as our house is on the chilly side. :)

Well, a wipe warmer can be a fire hazard if used incorrectly, so I think reading the instructions is pretty important.
