I don't think I would go to the hospital for this but I'm a FTM and I have no idea what I'm doing. Definitely call your doctor and ask. My thought on going to the hospital and contractions is that it will be quite obvious when it is time to go to the hospital. It's normal to feel random pains at this stage. The baby is running out of room. I get sharp stabbing pains in the area of my cervix, I get a lot of pressure in my lower abdomen, and I get achy cramping in my lower abdomen. I also seem to be having more gas pains early in the morning. Basically it seems like everything hurts at one time or another.
