FFCC Christmas edition

By best friend's sister got married and had a kid this year, born November. The H is a different religion and does not celebrate Christmas but best friend's family does. Anyway, best friend just told me the baby is staying with her tomorrow night on Christmas Eve and not with the parents. When I asked why she said because the H does not celebrate Christmas. I'm trying really hard not to judge this. I guess they were not having a traditional christmas morning. But, If I had a six week old baby I would want by baby with me on Christmas morning regardless of my husband's religion. And my best friend is not married and does not have any kids so I know she is loving all the baby time. I just find this very weird.

So your best friends sister (the baby's mom) does celebrate Christmas but since her husband doesn't she isn't spending Christmas morning with her baby?  Why on earth would she agree to that?!  Just because her husband doesn't celebrate Christmas doesn't mean she can't, and why do they need to have the baby stay somewhere else on Christmas Eve of all nights?

I really hope the mom is okay with this and this decision didn't come after weeks of fighting with her DH. That is so weird!

Yeah, this. I would be willing to bet there is more to this story than either your friend is telling you, or her sister is telling her. This is very odd.

I'm judging.
I've never spent a night away either! I couldn't, even if I wanted to, but I don't want to.
Especially on Christmas!

I've never spent a night away from Nat let alone when she is less than a week! To me, any age less than 6mos is crazy. I can understand why but they are still so young!!
