Eye or canine teeth nightmare

Ok I was just wondering if anyone else's LO suffered when cutting their eye teeth cuttingor are try called canine teeth, the fangs?. My lovely boy who I still nurse and cosleep with woke up the night before last in tears and shouting in what i believe is pain. He looked utterly confused and pointed to his mouth and the top 2 eye teeth are just poking through the gun. Usually I just nurse him and lie down with him and cuddle and he goes back to sleep but this time he just continued to cry for at least 30 mins. I felt helpless and sad i couldn't seem to help. Last night same thing happened again although he settled a little quicker. He is also off his food which sucks as he has just got over a cold and tummy bug so was off bison food then as well. Anyone else struggled with these pesky teeth? Any advice or even info on what it was like for you would be great. Fingers crossed he feels better for Christmas. Nelly :x

Yup, canine were the worst for us.  Ibuprofen was what worked for us - nursing, teething tablets, teethers... nada.  Just the meds.

Yup ...they were hands down the worst.  Eleanor hardly noticed any others coming in but the freakin' canines were killer.  We did motrin if it seemed like she was really hurting at night and was having trouble sleeping - I still bed share after she wakes and if she doesn't go right back to sleep after nursing or if she starts back awake in less than an hour, usually that means she's really hurting.  Other than that...lots of snuggles, hylands teething tablets and she wears an amber necklace.

I was disappointed - by the time her canines came in, my daughter wouldn't wear her amber teething necklace any more. :(

DD is cutting her second set and has a sinus infection on top of that and we haven't slept in about a week.  The beginning of the week was her cough waking her up and thus us.  The past two nights she just wakes up screaming and inconsolable.  I was suspecting the teeth.  We're giving her tylenol for now and it seems to help.
