That is kind of how my labor was. I had contractions 5 to 6 mins apart, then 3 to 4, so we went to LD. Once I got there, they stopped being painful and were 3 mins apart. After an hour they were somewhat painful, but 4 to 5 mins apart. I was progressing slowly, from 3 1/2 to 4 then to 5 after 2 hours or so.
Thy admitted me and the contractions started getting painful and closer, so I got an epi and they pretty much stopped. I had to have my water broken and pitocin and it progressed quickly from there.
I think if I wouldn't have already been dilated to 3 1/2 when the contractions started, they wouldn't have kept me because my labor was just funky and seemed like false labor with all the irregularity. Hopefully yours will pick up again and keep going, walking made them start back up again, so definitely stay active! Good luck!
