Cautious introduction

Hi everyone!  I'm only 12/13 dpo, so am very cautiously joining the board!  I saw my first faint line on Thursday, at 8/9 dpo. I thought I was going nuts, but it was there in the morning, still there in the evening, and I'm now seeing a + on digitals!  Had bloodwork yesterday to check my hcg & progesterone levels, results expected tomorrow!

 My plan is to tell DH late tomorrow night when we are finally alone (we are spending the holiday with his family). I'm currently sort of hiding out to avoid all the offers of wine, mulled wine and egg nog!  My plan is to tell DH I have an early Christmas gift for him and then give him a gift bag containing a gund "my first golf bag" and a book on fatherhood.  The inside cover of the book has a note from "Pistache" instructing "dad" to please read the book before 9/3/13, his/her  estimated date of arrival. I hope he understands the message ;). If not, I'll show him the digital test ;)

this is our first, and we conceived on our first cycle, so I'm still shocked, terrified and excited (in that order, I think). Once I share with DH I think a large part of the shock and fear will dissipate.  I'm a molecular geneticist by training, and my mind will not stop thinking about all the dividing going on down below, so the rest of the fear may take a bit longer. ;)

 I'm thrilled to be here and can't wait to get to know everyone!! :)

DX with ectopic pregnancy at 8 weeks, surgery to remove right tube 01/18/13
Both ovaries and left tube looked healthy and clear, so we'll see what the future holds for us.
