This sounds like a typical newborn to me but I'm not an expert. This could be an early 2 week growth spurt or maybe LO just likes to suck. Have you tried a pacifier at all. We used one early on and it did work sometimes and never caused nipple confusion. If he spit it out and continued crying, then i assumed he was still hungry and put him back to the breast. Within a few weeks, DS would just spit it out the pacifier anyway and really never wanted it much.
Also, the best way to make more milk is to have LO nurse nurse nurse.
If your LO is gaining enough weight, then I bet she is just fine.
