High. Low.

High. Spending the third day in a row with my DH and Cu. DH is ALWAYS at work and when he comes home he eats and falls asleep. It's been so nice to hang out with him, shop, sleep in late, go out to eat.

Low. See "I Just Punched My Refrigerator" post.

Also, if I can add an Odd. DH and I walked out of Target without paying for over 35 dollars in merchandise. No alarms. No one stopped us. It was all draped over the stroller. We noticed while putting the stroller back in the car. We obviously ran it back in. Geez. This isn't an FFC.

I'll play :)

High: pretty much the whole day. A has been in a great mood, very playful, and we got in some awesome snuggle time that just melted my heart. Some friends of ours have a 3mo and stopped by today. It was hilarious watching them interact!

Low: I'm actually depressed over Christmas. I just want it over with. I do not want to go to the ILs tomorrow. I'm dreading it. They know I'm upset with them over the Christmas card fiasco (see prior late night post) and for their obnoxious overbearing ways. It's going to be a very passive-agressive Christmas. I'm going to bite my tongue because I don't want to ruin Christmas for DH.

Odd: I normally love peanut butter and chocolate but I find it gross now. Made a whole batch of cookies and didn't want to eat any of them. Maybe I should just make these cookies from now on and I won't be tempted.

High: Noah slept for 6 straight hours last night!  Got to see one of my best friends and her husband today. We've been friends since we were 4. They are expecting their first in July! I love when my friends get to meet Noah.

Low: SO is grouchy but at least he knows it and is owning it. Also I might have had mini meltdown about the fact that I still feel fat and gross and hardly any of my pants fit. 

Odd: umm drawing a blank here

High: Clearly I'm still excited over the breastfeeding thing, but I enjoyed spending the day with my brother and sister, who are out of town for the holidays. Also, my best friend from college got engaged to his longtime girlfriend today.

Low: SO picked up a virus, so I needed to take LO out of the house until he felt better and disinfected everything. I really missed him all day. We hardly get to spend time together anymore. Plus I feel bad he missed his football game.

Odd: SO is acting sneaky and weird tonight. Not in a sketchy way, in an "I didn't hide your present well way." Now I'm curious where it is.

High: A was the perfect combination of interactive, sleepy, and snuggly today.  Plus, she slept for 5 hours last night!  It was a pretty easy day, and we haven't had one of those in a while.

Low: I finally reached my breaking point and snapped at DH.  I get that working 12 hour night shifts sucks, but when he's home, he's either sleeping, eating, or junking up the house.  I don't expect him to do much on the days he works, but at least take a few minutes to put your crap/trash/food away instead of leaving it all over the house.  I do feel bad that I was short with him.

Odd: I wish I had more presents to wrap tonight.  I love wrapping presents.

High: In-laws are here. They babysat DS while DH and I got to go out for brunch and a Target run.

Low: See above...in-laws are here. ;)

Odd: We played a trivia board game called Zero...I still don't get who won or what you have to do to be the winner. The directions went above my head.

My day was Pretty much great all day today

High: spending quality time with DD without anyone here. They all went last minute Xmas shopping and I baked and sang loudly to DD while she was in her swing. She loved it. So did I. :

Low: I had lots and lots of dishes to do. I hate doing dishes.

High: I got the house mostly cleaned up for Christmas morning brunch.  I also made some delicious candy coated popcorn.
 
Low: I either have mastitis or a plugged duct.  Whatever it is, my boob has a red splotch on it, is warm, and hurts like hell.  My OB happened to be the on call doctor, and she went ahead and called in an antibiotic to treat it as mastitis. 
 
Odd: I got really angry at my husband earlier and heaved a box of tangelos at him.

High: DH got up with L this morning and I got to sleep till 10! We also went out for dinner with some friends tonight and L did great.

Low: I had a mini meltdown tonight because I couldn't get ahold of DH earlier. In my defense, he was on a flight with a student and I thought he would be done around 230, so when I couldn't get ahold of him at 330 or 415 my mind started racing. He was fine, his student just wanted to fly longer.

High: slept until 10, went to see this is 40, DD had a good non fussy day so we went out to dinner and since it was so quiet and DD was being good we sat and BSd with the waiter for over an hour. Overall excellent day

Low: my stomach is feeling icky and I'm scared I'm coming down with something.

Odd: I got nothin..

High: tonight was DHs big family Christmas and it was really nice to see family we only see a couple times a year, catch up, and show off LO.

Low: LO is only 5 weeks, so we wore him in a wrap and told people we didn't want to pass him around. Everyone understood, except SIL who apparently felt she was above that because "she's the Auntie." When we told her no, she kept pushing, and finally walked away, making some snarky comment about how he's getting used to sleeping on us and we're gonna pay for it later. Both she and MIL and their parenting advice are driving me crazy.
