I think it is awesome that she is standing her ground and continuing to BF. However personally I don't think I would BF while working at a restaurant. I wouldn't eat while business tables so I also wouldn't feed my kid.

I can't see how in any way it's a "food safety issue." People will find an excuse to complain about anything they're uncomfortable with.

This. I don't find it appropriate that she BFs while on the clock and working. I wouldn't nurse sitting at my desk in the middle of the bank while on the clock. The food safety issue is ridiculous though. Especially since she was clearing tables, not serving food.

Many moms pump on breaks, not while on the clock - and I don't know anyone who has pumped in front of customers.

This. It's not about BFing. This is about a restaurant not being a safe place for bringing a child to work. I'd side eye the mom if she was bottle feeding and working at the same time too. I don't want your baby's food, his spit up, or his drool coming in contact with my food.

She was clearing tables, not serving food. I don't have a problem with the breastfeeding and I don't think it's a food safety issue. I personally wouldn't want to BF while working just because it seems like a hassle to juggle everything. Lots of women take breaks to pump at work, I don't see this as much different.

I don't pump on the clock. I split my hour lunch into two pump breaks.
It's not required by law for our employers to pay us to pump, I would assume most employers either make women take unpaid breaks or make up the time if they are salaried.
