HELP: diapering issues

I am now at war with my child ever diaper change. She will not stay put long enough to even get her pants off, let alone any other parts of the change. I am tired of the twisting, turning, thrashing and screaming. I am at my wits end and starting to lose my cool. I'm ready to use overnight diaper during the day and let her sit in her pee all day. Its a literally a two person job, though three people would be better. How is everyone else handling this? I tried slip-on diapers but I think I need to wait til she's standing on her own better because they were not any easier. I also have been reciting a book and singing to her but the novelty of that has warn off. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

My daughter is doing the same thing. It's a real struggle sometimes. I find using the belt on the changing pad helps. So does giving her a toy to occupy her while I'm rushing through the diaper change.

We are going through the same thing. I try anything new I can think of like songs, sounds, etc. Each thing buys me a couple seconds. One thing my DD really likes is if I move my head towards her making silly sounds then kiss her tummy. She laughs and loves it. I do it a few times in a row while I change her diaper as fast as I can. I don't do it every time though because I don't want to use it up.

I've started saying "WAIT FOR MAMA" very sternly and then I give him a teething toy. The sternness of my voice kind of tells him what's up. Sometimes I have to do it several times though until he lays still on his back. It's frustrating though I hear you. Try singing in some crazy voice...haha

I've found that giving DD a book to hold too, helps.  She usually needs two hands, and it keeps her flat on her back.  The toys that are in her room are smaller, and she can get away with holding it with one hand, so she's back on her belly in no time.  We have also just started trying to use the Little Movers slip on diapers.  I'm not crazy about them, and their fit... but sometimes it makes diapering easier. It is surely a challenge!

We do the same as PP do. I have to give him a light-up toy and then change his diaper in approx. 5 seconds! Sometimes my DH and I call it a pit stop and see how fast we can diaper him. Now for poop diapers...they are pretty much a disaster. haha

Something else I thought of, my DD LOVES the wipes package.  Sometimes I'll take out the wipes I need and then give her the package.  When we needed to switch to a new package I kept the old one with some wipes left just so she'd have one that's a manageable size to play with.

Hmm thats a good idea. My DD loves those crinkly packages too.

I am going through this now also.  I find that if I change him without any distractions in his peripheral vision it helps.  If there is something he can turn his head to see, he is trying to crawl away to see it.

Yep, it is real challenge here too, I have actually been changing her "backwards", which means I put the butt on first, then slid thru the legs and then flip her over real quick to get the straps down.  Hey whatever works right???
