I feel like im falling apart (personal TMI)

Warning I'm complaining about my private parts. 

Three weeks ago DH and I went all baby making crazy and did it like rabbits. After the 5th day I was swore so we stopped.

Two days after that I was extremely itchy down in that area and was advised to go get monistat and wait 7 days for it to clear up... on the 8th day I went into my Doctors office and got swabbed for all sorts of crap.

That was Last Monday and I never received a call from the tests so I assume they were negative for anything (yeast infection,BV etc).

Im still itchy and now I have two swollen lymph nodes one of each side of my pelvic area. They are painful and annoying. 

Thats all... I may never have sex again.. 

Oh And I am very mad at my OB for not having anyone call me to at least say I was free and clear or give me some damn advice.

I've totally been there,

I would call your OB office tomorrow morning and demand some results. That's insensitive to not call you at least to follow up.

Ouch! I just wish I had an ounce of libido nowadays. Poor DH. But seriously, I don't get that "we only call if you have something wrong" thing. I always think what if they've tried to call me and my phone didn't show it or some ridiculous story I've made up in my mind. I always call and ask regardless.

Maybe try some good old cortisone? You can use that for "personal itching" if you think the area is just irritated. I'd be a little concerned that it didn't go away after all this time though. Seems like there must be something going on besides just irritation from the friction.

Ive been using cortisone since last monday,,, I will say its not as bad as it was.

Yes, I would call to follow up as well. Sorry Mrs G, that sucks. I have no real advice since you already tried all I've got up my sleeve. 

 

I hope the sex was worth it.

This!  That and worms response - must've been pretty epic sex!

Have you tried soaking in a tub with some epsom salt and witch hazel or a sitz bath of sorts? That's all I've got besides what has already been advised.  Sorry you're uncomfortable - definitely call your doctor.

Just thought of something.... Have you tried ice? I sat on ice packs for a while when I got pregnant with Aidan. Things got swollen and itchy/burny down there for some reason. It went away after a while but ice packs were my best friends!

Re: the swollen lymph nodes may be bartholin gland cysts and they suck! Take really hot shallow bath for relief. I'm sorry about all your troubles!
