Pregnancy Brain Christmas Edition.

So it's that wonderful time of year where I make candies for gifts. Because of always being tired I put it until last minute. Years and years of experience making THE perfect peanut brittle have failed me. I have been through 4 batches and it either doesn't harden, gets burnt, or just tastes like a$$. What are the chances of telling people I'm too sick to attend Christmas? I think I will run out of supplies before I get this candy making right. Sorry, needed a little vent before I start pouring tears. *bangs head on counter*

blame it on the humidity. Or does that only work with caramels? Either way I'm sorry! I managed to get 1 of my 3 cookies made without missing an ingredient.

When baking lately ill realize halfway thru I forgot to get one ingredient and just substitute or go without...my husband calls it pregnancy baking...pretty sure it's pregnancy brain at its finest...but, nothing has turned out awful!

My mom and I bake cookies and we went from our normal 12-13 different kinds to 5 this year!  For some reason our "candy" items didn't turn out right either - fudge and toffee.

I believe anything sugar based can be blamed on the humidity.
