Cutting back my hours too early?

Hello Ladies-

I am about over being treated like an egg that is about to break. At 27 weeks I feel more than fine at my job. I bartend and I love being as active as I am. I usually work just short of full time (35 hours) and love all my regulars. We have a new GM and when I went to look at the schedule I was shocked to see 2 shifts gone from my schedule and given to another bartender (a non-pregnant girl coworker with way less seniority than me). I have been with the company the longest besides the bar manager and I am kind of hurt that no one has talked to me about it.

The new GM was an ass all week making slight passive comments about how I cannot do certain side work (flip stools, get ice) but other than that I handle my job well and actually haven't struggled with the work load.

Ladies, how do I tell them I am fine and don't need my schedule adjusted yet? The cut in hours really affects the amount of $ I make (they took 2 night shifts away) and that is the last thing I need with starting the 3rd trimester.  I was hoping to work up until I pop and today I really just wanted to say I'M PREGNANT NOT BROKEN. ugh.

I would literally say I'm fine and I don't need my hours adjusted. I might ask if they would like a Dr note clearing me for hours and activities.

Yes, but I don't think it will make much of a difference.  Sorry to hear that they are acting like idiots. :(

Um, discrimination!

Talk to your new GM and tell him you are fine and do not need your hours cut back.  You will let them know if it is necessary at any point.  If they cut your hours just b/c you are pg, you have the right to go to HR and complain.
