Mini vent

DH works a job 2p-10p with an hourish commute on each side.  Last night and the night before he worked a double so after he got some sleep, we have seen him about 30 minutes each on Saturday and Sunday. He came home tonight and informed me that tomorrow he is working another double (but in the morning instead of an overnight so he won't be completely exhausted for Christmas Day).  I really wouldn't normally care since he's offering to work them and more money is always good but I would have really really liked to do a few store runs without the carseat unbuckling, rebuckling, trying to keep track of 2 little ones in Christmas Eve public craziness.  For crying out loud, the trip to get hashbrowns is going to take an hour til I get them ready to go, in the car, out of the car, through the store, in the car, out of the car. I love my kiddos but they make everything so difficult!

I definitely can relate, even with just one. MH works 6 days a week alternating between 5am-1pm or 5am-8pm and it is intense. I am looking around at 11pm wondering how I'm going to get everything done in time. No matter how much people warned me about how much longer things take with a baby I just couldn't fathom it beforehand.

Good luck, hope it goes okay for you!

Ha, I can totally relate to this...I just got home from shopping alone.  DH got home from work at 9pm, I left at 9:30pm, went to Kohls, Target, Best Buy, and grocery shopping.  Got home at 11:30pm.  There is no way I wanted to take my 2 kids on that excursion, I'd rather do it late at night!  I hate trying to run basic errands at Christmastime, it's so awful.

Hugs.  Vent girl vent!  It is perfectly okay for you to feel this way.  I hope you are at least able to relax on Christmas!

I can totally relate.  I only have one, and after running out on my own last Friday, I told DH I would not be doing any solo shopping or errands with her until after the holidays.  It was just too crazy out there!
