Hi there!

Hi everyone! I just introduced myself on the 1st trimester but was even more excited to find this board. I'm due 9/1/13.

A little about me: DH and I have been married just over 4 years, we're both 29, and this is our first baby. We got our BFP on our 4th cycle TTC - just a few days ago! I decided to do the '12 days of Christmas for your husband' this year, so I was giving him a gift a day. One evening he ran an errand and I decided to test while he was gone (I just had a sneaking suspicion..) Sure enough, it was positive! I was absolutely stunned, yet somehow had the wherewithall to quickly wrap up the test and give it to him as one of his '12 days' gifts. The look on his face was priceless. 

I have my first Dr. appt on 1/7/13, so in the meantime I'm really struggling with the question of whether we should tell my family on Christmas. My sisters are already suspicious since I wasn't drinking the other day. Just very confused about what to do!

 Anyway, I can't wait to meet you all and hear your stories. I'm so happy to be a part of this group! H&H 9 months to you all!

Congratulation and welcome to the board!

 I'm an early "teller" lol.  I'm also open about my pregnancies and losses.  Other people are more private and pregnancy is very personal to them.  It's up to as far as your comfort level is concerned.  :)

Hi there and congratulations!!  We are telling a few people, mostly just immediate family members.  Its too good of news not to share!

Beta #1= 86 Beta #2=186 6 weeks 1 day saw h/b; u/s at 9 weeks 1 day, no h/b D&C 1/31 April 2013: FET #2 BFP 4/25/13 Beta #1= 10 Beta #2 =4 c/p May/June 2013: IVF#2 28R 24M 21 F. Transferred 2 beautiful blasts and froze 7. Beta 6/24 Please let this work!!

Congrats! I am not good at keeping secrets so I already told my close friends and family. I am waiting to tell others until I see a heartbeat and know all is well. Good luck and welcome!

Congratulations and welcome!  We haven't told anyone and I would really like to wait until after 1st tri to let the cat out of the bag. We aren't seeing family for Christmas so that won't be a problem, but I'm worried about how to hide it New Year's Eve/Day since we normally go to the Polar Bear Plunge and it's a huge drink-fest.

 I am having the same problem with if I should tell family or not.  I would like to wait but I am a really bad liar and bad at keeping secrets so I dont know how long I will last.  LOL  DP wants to wait until we hear the heartbeat.

Congrats and welcome!!! :)

We got pregnant on our TTC cycle, and it still hasn't sunk in a mere 4 days post BFP.  We will not be telling anyone over Christmas, despite the fact that it really is the best Christmas gift that we could give everyone.  DH and I have been at my in-laws since Saturday, and I've somehow successfully kept it from both DH and my in-laws ;)  I think my FIL is suspicious because I have rejected both wine and cocktails, but he isn't pressing, and I think DH is suspicious because he keeps looking at me funny, and I won't make eye contact in those instances.  I was going to tell him tonight, but I think I will do it first thing Christmas morning instead.  

We will likely wait for post first u/s to tell our families; mine being first and his the week after.   

If you do spill the news, please share the reaction!! :)
