Oh I am soooo dreading my first visit to the IL's with LO in a few weeks....I'm thinking it is going to be something like this, only he's the only grandchild on DH's side so I fear the advice will be even worse, and nearly 30 years old.
All I know, is if my MIL comes into our room while we are sleeping and takes my child from his crib, sleeping or awake, I don't care. I will fake a mental breakdown, complete with tears and screeching "Where is my baby???" and scare them into never doing that again.
And my dear MIL, who keeps saying, "My baby, my baby..." oh, I'm sorry, did I miss the 9 months that you carried him in your womb? Your GRANDbaby, yes. But not your baby. (And he isn't just YOUR grandbaby, you see, I have parents too...)
I keep chanting to myself: *It's only 5 days, it's only 5 days, it's only 5 days*
