I never imagined I would find my way to this board and I hope I can stay here for a very long time.
About me - I am 40 and DH is 42. In 2004, after a failed IVF cycle with my now ex-H, I was told by my RE that if I did not become pregnant before turning 34, I would never become pregnant. My OB gave me slightly higher odds of just under 1%.
DH and I married in July 2011 and received a very surprising BFP in June 2012. Our perfect son was born at 20 weeks after a placental abruption. Zachary was our miracle and always will be. I never expected to get another BFP but, now that I knew becoming pregnant was more than a theoretical possibility, I found my way to TTCAL.
At 15dpo, after receiving a BFN, I contacted my OB about starting basic blood work in preparation for seeing an RE in a couple more cycles. When my temps stayed up I continued to pee on everything. I received BFNs on 16dpo and 17dpo. Thanks to a wonderful TTCAL who said "for the love of God will you just pee on a FRER", I did. I received an incredibly faint positive on the FRER and went to my OB. They ran betas after getting a negative test in their office.
I continued to get negatives all weekend (except on a FRER) and then used my last digital and my last FRER this a.m. at dpo20. Positive on both.
I got my betas in from Friday: 14. I'll go in again on Wednesday to see if they are rising appropriately. I am hoping that the positive on the digital is a good sign that they are.
To the wonderful ladies on TTCAL - thank you. I will never be able to say that enough to you. Your support, knowledge, and encouragement are invaluable. I have everything FXd that you find your way over here.
Welcome and congratulations!
