6 Weeks...Nausea Rears Its Ugly Head

I'm just over 6 weeks pregnant, and I am feeling very nauseous in the mornings.  Taking my prenatal vitamin in the morning puts me right over the edge.  Even though I am taking it with breakfast, I just don't feel like there is enough in my stomach to handle it.  As the day progresses, I feel better.  But, I am definitely having food aversions.  Food that I love one day, turn my stomach the next.

Can anyone relate?

mine started around 5-6 weeks as well. I've thrown up 3 times total and I switched to gummy prenatals. I still have aversions and I don't feel like eating anything all the time.

I will be week 9 Wednesday and it has been hell. Started about 5 and 1/2 weeks.

Everything (!) I used to like I dont want to eat. Thoughts, smells, talk of food makes me sick. I have been eating a lot of gatoraide and plain potato chips. I am miserable.

I have been taking prenatals for about 6 years (I am/was anemic). I found the best time to take them is at lunch with food. I was nauseated in the am often (pre-preg, now it is 24/7) and too late in the day gave me heartburn when I laid down to sleep.

Ugh that is so miserable. It hasn't happened this time yet but I remember what it was like. What helped me was having my PNV with dinner or even right before bed and also freezing some hard candies and sucking on them when it gets bad.

I hope you feel better!

You can take your vitamin at night before you go to sleep and that should help.

I don't take my vitamin until lunch. I feel nauseated in the morning so I eat a banana right away, I feel fine as soon as I do and that's the extent of m/s. Food aversions, on the other hand, ugh. I don't feel like eating anything.

I have nausea and food aversions in the morning it seems only after breakfast. I lose the desire to eat even though I am hungry. I haven't gotten sick but the nausea can get pretty intense. This is new for me, didn't have it with my other pregnancies.

I appreciate the words of wisdom and encouragement.  I will certainly try taking my PNV later in the day.  Also, perhaps the banana in the morning that was suggested will help.  My poor husband...he has really been a trooper.  This morning sickness/food aversion has made me a "beaming ray of sunshine" to be around.  Haha.

Yep, that is pretty normal. Try taking your prenatal right before bed.

I take my prenatal vitamin at night and that seems to help a lot. Also my dr gave me a prenatal vitamin that has ginger in it and so far it doesn't take it all away but am I believe it makes it better...

Defininitely can relate. I recently atarted New Chapter prenatal vitamins. They are all natural and organic. No synthetic additives or fillers and they seem to not make u sick like many others. I am also taking the same brand prenatal omegas. Both have great reviews online.

Nauseous here too! I can only eat a few things without feeling like crap. I'm 6wks too. Mine started around 4.5wks, but came full force in the last week. I keep my prenatal vitamins on my nightstand, then take then as I'm lying down to sleep. It works best for me that way, so they don't add to the nausea.

Mine started yesterday. I spent most of last night feeling like total crap, and its back again today. Making for a rather unpleasant Christmas morning. Eating helps, but only for a few minutes. Sorry your feeling crappy :/
