We got so much stuff for Ro

I kept picking up little things here and there since this summer. I am now looking at the pile of wrapped presents that did not seem so big one at a time. Most of them are books and puzzles. What was I thinking? LOL!

Ditto!! LO got some duplicates already so I returned a few items today and now we are keeping the MD easel as a welcome to new house gift in 2 weeks rather than opening the box and putting together to take apart.
It didnt seem like a lot until I started wrapping and seeing what she has already received she's already overwhelmed

We thought the same thing! We opened our gifts last night and as we were sorting Colby's pile I thought "Geez!!". I told DH I just kept picking stuff up as I saw it. We also had a ton of puzzles and books though, and other little things that I had wrapped separately.

We haven't even seen the ILs yet or my mother (though my mother tends to just do one or 2 things). Yikes!

Same thing here! We did Xmas with the DH's family yesterday and we still have my family and the gifts that we got for her. It's pretty ridiculous. I don't know what we are going to do with everything.  My father explained it perfectly. You can get 2 yr olds a bunch of things they will like and spend less than $100, so it's fun. When they get older, it's more expensive and not as much fun. LOL

Same here. I actually ran out of wrapping paper. Since I plan to put a lot of things away, it's okay, but to see the pile all at once was a lot!

We've picked up a few too many little things too.  Combined with presents from other family and friends and his pile alone is overflowing under the Christmas tree.  I think next year with two of them it will take up a whole room.  I think I understand now why we did extended family presents the night before and then Santa and mom and dad presents the morning of.  There wouldn't have been space with 4 kids!!

My parents house exploded. There are massively huge boxes. I said those all better not be for C. If they are someone has to stay with them!

Me too!!! I've learned my lesson that buying presents throughout the year is NOT a good idea. I ended up with SO much stuff for Jake. So when we were wrapping all of it, I ended up giving 2 puzzles to my dad and a "present" for him to use when he watches all the grandkids. I really just didn't want them in my house!

Next year I'll be waiting and limiting my purchasing and making sure to know what I already have and not going so overboard again!
