ok, my advice is way tmi, but it helps... if things are protruding sometimes you can gently push things back into place after applying prep h (I prefer the cooling gel), Try to clench for a while after pushing things pack in to hold them there, just until the prep h starts to decrease the swelling. If you can avoid bowl movements for 24hrs it will usually works to fix the problem. Then be very cautious as you start having bowl movements again, do not strain! take a stool softener if you need to.
