Did you believe in Santa, tooth fairy and the Easter bunny? Do you want lo to believe? Why or why not.

Yes I did and I absolutely want my kids to as well. I think it's because I work with kids who leave magic childhood times before they should have to. I want my kids to have magic.

This! I want my kids to have a time of magical thinking and a wonderful imagination. I don't want them to grow up too fast. You can only be little so long.

I still believe in Santa. I have all kinds of theories justifying his reality. Between church and Santa this is my favorite night of the year.

This exactly. I want my children to experience the same joy that I did as a child. I was just telling my husband today that I can't wait until we have to sneak downstairs to put the presents under the tree and have the little ones wake us up at the crack of dawn to see what Santa brought them. I love Christmas :]

I never believed in Santa or the Easter bunny, but I was raised Jewish. I did believe in the tooth fairy but I caught in pretty quick. I definatly want AJ to believe. I think it's a wonderful and magical thing.

I did believe in all three ... I am undecided if I want LO to believe. DH does not want to tell her about it because he feels it is lying and insulting to her intelligence.

None. Was raised JW and they dont believe in any of those.

In turn I will not teach my DD about any of these. I need to prep for these conversations as I no longer practice.

Yes I did and yes I plan on introducing LO to them as well. I think that it's important for children to believe in magic! I also just could not imagine not carrying on the wonderful traditions I had during my childhood with my LO.

I want my children to grow up and remember that even though the actual characters aren't real, that its the spirit in which they were created that I want them to be able to carry on into adulthood.

I did, and I absolutely want Dex to believe - there was nothing more fun than the magic of Christmas and getting super excited for Santa to come by our house!  I didn't resent my parents for 'lying' to me, I am glad that they did it.  I had a friend tell me that they wanted their kid to know who it was that was buying all those gifts for them (the parents, not Santa) so that the kid would appreciate it - but I didn't ever think about who was buying what as a kid, so what difference would that make?  As an adult, I can appreciate now what my parents did for us.

This is me as well and said better than I think I would have. I want lo to understand the spirit behind each of these and will use the characters to teach him to be giving (hopefully). Santa will not bring him tons of gifts, but the idea will be there. I did believe when I was little, but my older siblings ruined them all when I was too young. I was crushed.
